Buddhism first spread from India to various Asian countries, adapting to the distinct cultures and civilizations it encountered. This localization led to the emergence of diverse traditions such as Mahayana, Theravada, and Vajrayana.

Toni (Guo Chung) and I were corresponding by mail. We were friends from High School in Seattle. We also rode horses together.

In the Tang Dynasty, during the reign of Emperor Yizong, there was a National Master named Dhyana Master Wuda (“Penetrating Enlightenment”).
